Sadly this blog post wont be mass advertised by the media and if it is the words will be twisted. Right now as always we are seeing the media spamming endlessly about 'bad' news even when there may be none.

Conservatives really need to start advertising their success and I am not talking just about welfare caps, lower immigration, lower unemployment etc I am talking about things that were important that barely got a paragraph in the press. I am talking about tax credits for the video game industry which as you may know will attract a massive market, the investments done in Tech City etc

Anyway sorry for ranting, great blog keep up the great work, just make sure everyone hears about it

Mrs. Thatcher inspired a generation to be proud of the country they lived in. Will we ever see the like of her again in this country?
Condolences to her family at this sad time and may they always be proud to have been her family

During my school days in the mid seventies, we would light a candle at times in order to be able to study during the power strikes. Always proud of my country it was humiliating to be known as the 'sick man of europe' as I started out on my working career.
I was never the brightest spark, but with the changes Maggie brought about I was able build up a successful business.
I came to realise that I had been genuinely inspired by her demonstration of her own strength of will and the possibility that anyone could rise up the ladder with hard work and upon merit alone--- I believe many of our largely female staff were similarly inspired by her example and they moved on to senior management positions, whilst others became main board directors.
Maggie encouraged us to go out and achieve something for ourselves and for our country --- a country that had fallen into an abyss of neglect, economically, socially and politically -- I agree that maggie put back the 'Great' in Great Britain and that we now all benefit from the greater affluence and national stability that her policies delivered.
I offer my sincere condolences to the family of Baroness Thatcher and in her memory I once again light a candle.

Rest in peace the Iron Lady. Rest in peace Margaret Thatcher.

Surely the greatest Prime Minister since Churchill. I remember seeing her at a building dedication and being inspired by her words and integrity. She was not afraid to take unpopular decisions for the greater good of all. My wife said ruefully that she wished I looked at her the way I looked at Mrs Thatcher.! Will we ever see her like again?
Thank you Baroness Thatcher. History will view you kindly. You will never be forgotten

I wasn't around for the great Thatcher years, yet I'm aware of her legacy, the legacy that brought this country back from the brink and put the 'Great' back into Great Britain. I was so proud to discover about her in documentaries and doing my own research on the Iron Lady.
Rest In Peace Maggie

What we must never forget is that Lady Thatcher made Britain one of the leading economic powers of today. Thanks to her we can be proud to live in one of the most influential countries in the world.

As Chairman of Pendle Conservatives, I am writing this tribute on behalf of all Pendle Conservative voters and probably a good few of our opponents as well. Lady Thatcher embodied the spirit of all that is good about Britain. It's easy to forget just how bad things were in 1978. It took a brave politician with firm conviction to sort things out and she did just that. This country would be in a far worse place but for her. Thank you Margaret, may you rest in peace after an amazing life and a huge contribution to the lives of others.

Margaret Thatcher defined the politics of Britain today - having the thirst to create the conditions to enable people to achieve their aspirations, a never-ceasing demand in realising our great nation's prosperity, and Putting the "Great" back into Great Britain.

Mrs Thatcher has my absolute respect as someone who crafted a world which no government has dared change; a world which was released from the shackles of state dependancy.

She enabled people to achieve their dreams - provided they worked hard to do so. A "get up and go Britain... not a "lay back and wait for it Britain".

It was an honour to be part of the crowd which flocked to St Paul's as part of your final goodbye. So graceful, so respectful, so fitting.

My sincerest apologies to the family of the late, but brilliant, Margaret Thatcher Prime Minister.

Cllr Shane Hebb - Conservative Councillor for the Stanford West ward, Thurrock Council.

She was my inspiration to be a Conservative .
