In the Western Mail (daily paper here in Wales) Asghar has said the “final straw” for him leaving Plaid was that Plaid would not let him employ his daughter Natasha. The Tories on the other hand are more open to employing family members. It’s political opportunism.

I come from a working class East London background, and I’m a staunch Conservative. Your pathetic class-war rhetoric of “rich boys” is so outdated it’s actually embarrassing. Perhaps it’s a sign of panic that as Conservatives are making progress around the country and with all demographics you chose to come onto this website just to spew the rubbish you’ve enlightened us all with.
I couldn’t care less how much money you’ve got. If you’ve got the right policies and values, you’ll get my support. And the Conservative Party has.
The Conservative Party is not what you think it is, whether you like it or not – so get over it.
