I was incredibly honoured to be offered the job of Shadow Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change by David Cameron – and only too happy to accept the position.
It’s a big job, bringing together two of the most important issues in Britain today – how we secure our energy needs for the future and how we make sure we tackle climate change.

Has the new boy heard about carbon trading at all? please can we have a little market thinking on this topic at least. Then we might stand a chance of dealing with climate changel

Best of luck facing off against Ed Milliband – he looks pretty impressive (although that’s perhaps only in comparison to his lacklustre colleagues) but you seem to be full of enthusiasm for the job ahead…
